Windsurfing
Lanzarote is considered one of the best places in the world for windsurfing and the perfect place to take your wave riding to the next level…
LAS CUCHARAS, COSTA TEGUISE
Las Cucharas is world renowned for its high winds and big wave riding. It has a naturally sheltered bay, ideal for beginners and less experienced windsurfers to enjoy learning or improving your windsurfing skills.
Located in the north of the island. From the long 3km beach you have ba beautiful view of the islands of Graciosa & Alegranza. The waves are spectacular (sideshore wind conditions). Stong current. Uncrowded windsurfing.
ORZOLA
Also located in the north. Windsurf amongst the lava rocks or ride on the east winds that often blow here. Not a spot for beginners!!
JAMEOS DEL AGUA
Situated approximately 20kms north of Costa Teguise, this is probably the hardest to surf, technically! The waves break in multiple sections over the volcanic reef. Suitable footwear is a must as you will have to cross volcanic rock to reach a take off site. You will get extremely long waves here and currents can get pretty hectic.
PLAYA HONDA
Next to the airport. This spot is dominated by the strong passat wind coming from overland, and flat sea conditions.
MATAGORDA, PUERTO DEL CARMEN
Provides flat water with bump and jump conditions.
